Remembering Personal Responsibility

Too late for Melissa I'Anson, the teenager killed in Lynbrook, say the headlines. Road side memorial is blamed. The intersection is blamed. The government’s inaction installing traffic lights is blamed.

It's funny how all my friends have said that maybe Melissa's bad driving should be blamed. You know, if you are driving a car, how about concentrating on the road.

Is a small lack of concentration actually classed as bad driving? Because for all the smokers out there everytime every time you light a cigarette you lose concentration on the road or when you change the radio station, change the CD or turn up or down the volume you lose some concentration. So is bad driving maybe the wrong term?

Maybe so but is a small lack of concentration really classed as bad driving? Because remember for all those smokers everytime you light up that cigarette you lose some concentration on the road, or when we change the radio station, change a cd or turn up or down the volume. Is this also classed as bad driving?

Yeah, sure it is. If you drove through a T intersection into the path of an oncoming truck doing anyone of those things, it would be classified as bad driving.
What else would you call it? An oops?

I don't really think that it is a matter of bad driving, more a mistake or an accident. Who's to say she didnt look? Maybe looked to soon or mis-judged

I think if she looked, it would be safe to assume she would have seen the dirty big truck that was about to drive over her.
I don't think you could call it good driving, hey?

I wonder how many mistakes you have made on the road, and been lucky to escape injury or your own death. You sound like an arrogant pig and perhaps you should use a little more sensitivity, respect and understanding in your uneducated posts.
