This time it was Paris’ turn and the cartoonist's turn who have a history of drawing cartoons of, in this case, the (mythical) profit Mohammad. These religious types have killed people in defence of their belief in religious figures. Religious types who are willing to kill people in defence of iconic religious figure who, arguably, never existed for a lot of people. Mohammad, Jesus, God, Shiva, whoever you want, they are literary figures, and not real people, as they only, really, exist in the minds of those who believe in them.
And Muslims in the world again, somewhat predictably, say that murder by fanatics has nothing to do with their religion and yet the killings in the name of Allah continue.
Please don’t tell me you are praying for the victims because that is, actually, a part of the problem.
Should the French cartoonists have drawn the images in defiance of Islamic beliefs? I don't know. Yes? No? But why no? Does Islam gets special treatment because they are willing to kill people in defence of their beliefs? It is free speech, surely. But what do Muslims do who feel hurt by such depiction? Don't look at the cartoons? Maybe? Continue believing in what they believe, regardless. But one thing is true, don't kill people who don't believe in what you believe.
