Screwed up World

We are getting screwier and screwier about sex as the years go on. We need a sexual revolution like the 60's to kick start the normal world again.

Surely, the very basis of sexual assault is if the alleged victim feels as though they have been sexually assaulted? If they don't, no matter what anyone else thinks, or what anyone else's particular childhood psycho drama is, there was no sexual assault.

Camilla didn't feel assaulted, so there was no assault, no matter how much the Christian Queensland senators may wish it to be.

Camilla felt worse about the two boys being evicted than the alleged incident.

The fact that a man tried to molest me when I was thirteen caused me less pain that what people are now trying to do with that fact. (You can read my previous blog) It didn't affect me.

What did someone say today, that the television station was irresponsible because it aired someone getting asked, Was his wife good in bed, in a 6.30 time slot. Their three year old turned around and asked the husband if the mother was good in bed. So what? What is it with parent's willingness to shirk their parental responsibility at the expense of the rest of society. They are your kids, raise them yourselves.

Big Brother Uncut has been forced off air because it dared to show adult content in an adult time slot. How fucked is that?

All sexually explicit material on the internet was questioned and threatened to be removed because parent's can't supervise their kids whilst on the internet. The whole of society was going to be denied because kids might see it.

When did kids start to rule the world?

When did the puritans take control of the asylum?

I think it's a whole load of crap. Personally, I love Big Brother (ok, so shoot me !!), and I think the whole thing has been blown out of proportion. As far as I'm concerned, children shouldn't be watching Uncut, or Uplate ... and it is the parent's repsonsibility, not the TV station's. Likewise the internet ... for goodness sake, this situation occurred at 4 in the morning ... WTF ... what kid is on the internet then !?!? Besides, daytime TV on channel 7, for example, shows midday movies with the "F" word being aired. Kids are home then !!!! Any channel on Cable at any time of the day or night may air swearing, sex or whatever. Leave Big Brother alone. I, as well as many, many others love it. Politicians should stay in Canberra, do the job they are getting paid for ... leave out tv programs alone. To the prudes, if they don't like the show, don't watch it ... simple. Don't dictate our TV habits.

Sorry, I had to rant ...

Hope your day is going well !!!
Take care, Meow

I like your rant, you can come over and do it any time you like. I agree with everything you said.

I love Big Brother too. I think the social interaction is fascinating, where it is contrary to my personal beliefs, or not. I dislike groups of people who try to censor other groups, no matter how it is done.

Thanks for letting me rant ... I needed that !!! I can't believe the media coverage about this incident. Did you see last night's show, and Gretel's interview with the boys ... what a mountain out of a molehill. The transcript is in this morning's herald sun of what they said and did. They were mucking around, for goodness sake. Bloody Howard sticking his bib in ... what a fool. He can't even run the country properly, now he's trying TV !! Ooops, I'm off again.
I hope Channel 10 don't bow to pressure and not bring it back next year ... I look forward to my yearly fix of BB !!
Have a great day.
Take care, Meow

I'm with you fletcher and meow. If all the complaining is about the sex talk and nudity on tv. well hello what about sbs. some of those shows are pornographic, but you don't see them being taken off or john howard complaining about that. and I agree if camilla didn't feel sexually harassed then it should be no-ones business to butt in.
