What is it with guys in dark suits with pale shoes? Often, black or dark blue suits with tan shoes. There seems to be a spate of it at the moment. Who told them that that was fashion/style?
Did some dill just decide to wear that combination one day, for whatever reason and that rest of the fashion cowboys felt that it gave them all a license for bad taste? Someone without a clue seems to have influenced the rest of the clueless. It's like a virus spreading in the CBD, at the moment. Now I know most guys aren't supposed to have a clue, but surely that is just a stereotype, a cliche? Come on guys get a grip!
As my granny used to say, Your complexion should never be darker than your hair. Your shoes should never be lighter than your suit. And you should never take more than you give.
So let's take it back to the politically correct thing - a set of rules designed specifically for the people who have no idea (i.e. the stupid) - in the same way that we now say monetarily challenged or follically independent or uniquely coordinated, we should say that tan shoes and a blue or black suit should never be seen.
Let's just make it a rule and be done with it.

didn't PeeWee used to wear some gray suit with white shoes? Now if he wasn't a style trend setter, I don't know who was!
But who wants to look like PeeWee Herman at the office?
