Importance?

What is the day?

How does the sun shine?

Do any of us really get a say?

Why should a grain of dust have a say?

Why should a grain of dust have any less of a say?

The bottom line is that we, grains of dust, don't matter, not even to one another. And that is so much sadder than the universal metaphysical dimension of human meaninglessness. If we mean so little to each other, why on earth should we strive to have that kind of a say? Inverted priorities in life?

Not only are we not going to have a say, we're not going to make it as a species, because we don't matter to each other, which I don't think is such a bad thing. Maybe, the next super species will get the loving each other bit right.
