Alive

The sun touches

my legs

for the first time,

my skin shivers

and I feel alive.

Nature blows

around my ears,

tosses my hair,

the garden dances

and I feel alive.

The blue sky

caps the day,

light fades in and out

with the drifting clouds

and I feel alive.
