Sometimes, I think, I will just go insane in the end, as that seems like the most appropriate response to the world in which we live.

That's what they want you to think, of course.
Then you buy more shit to cheer yourself up.
And you look to politicians to make the world right.
The frightening thing that is real,
is all the stupid people in positions of power.
Now that's is the scary thing.
So? What do you do? Find your thing? You know, the real thing. The thing you love. And do that. Shut the rest of the noise out. I think getting off social media is probably a good thing. Keep in touch with friends, of course, you need friends. But, keep out of the anger that seems to consume social media. Keep away from the hostility. Life is too short for anger.
Switch the news off. Well, I guess we can’t do that completely, but get your news from calm, fact based news sources, that report the facts, and leave the opinion out of it, as much as is possible. Try to listen to people who have the worlds interests at heart, not just their own.
