SMS. 14.20. U stress easily, don't u? – christian
SMS. 14.20. Until then, enjoy your dope and your Greek boyfriend – Angelo

I had decided that I really didn’t want to meet. Closeted, country living with his parents, with just two trains a day. At his age. On anti-depressants. Doesn’t smoke pot, doesn’t do drugs, blah, blah. Blah. Doesn’t drive. And besides, there is a certain excitement to not meeting, nothing can spoil the fantasy.

But, I felt a bit mean. He’d organised for 6pm just across from my work. He couldn’t have made it any easier. What was I to do?

SMS. 15.24. Hey snotty, I could meet u after 5.30 for coffee – christian
SMS. 15.37. How did you know my nose is snotty? – Angelo

SMS. 17.23. Gloria Jeans? – Angelo
SMS. 17.26. Where? – christian
SMS. 17.26. Bourke and King – Angelo
SMS. 17.28. Okay. What time? – christian
SMS. 17.29. 6.1o – Angelo
SMS. 17.31. See u then – christian

I was still thinking that I was going to send a “can’t make it” text when I wandered over Bourke Street to find Gloria Jeans was closed, closed at 6pm. That should have said something. So I sat outside on a ledge, a little out of the way, around the corner and read the MX in the glorious afternoon sunshine, not taking any notice of anyone.

SMS. 18.12. Just left see you soon – Angelo
SMS. 18.14. I have to go soon, how long will you be? – christian

I met Angelo. I knew I shouldn’t have. Even on web-cam he looked kind of like a cute boy, had a spark. He had said that men have thought he was hot on web-cam and then said no bluntly when they’ve met him in person. There had to be some reason. And there is. He’s got a handsome face and beautiful eyes. But he’s just nerdy. Meeting has spoiled the allure.
It’s not the way he looks, it’s his attitudes. They were so far away from mine. A vegetarian doesn’t marry a meat eater. If you live a life of denial, in a place you don’t want to, not being who you really are, you are bound to become a shadow of who you are.

Besides, I’m not really looking. I’m not looking in that sense.

SMS. 18.25. Just home! Took longer 2 get from Fitzroy 2 Cheltenham than Bolago 2 Fitzroy! Gorgeous day, didn’t want 2 come home! – Rachel

2am
Tim, his new flat mate Grant, Joel and I went to the laird. Tim arrived tanked on drugs. He gave me an ecstasy, which I took. We caught a taxi and pretty soon we were spinning at the Laird, Tim, Grant and me. Tim was spinning hard, really off-chops. He’s funny when he’s like that. He looks like he’s having a good time, laughing and giggling. Beaming that huge smile. Eventually, Tim had to go and dance. Joel and I came home.

Manny is off-line, his phone has been cut-off. He’s moving house this weekend.

I wished he’d just arrive at the door, drunk and horny.

Sometimes Manny sits on the end of my bed naked and my breath is taken clear away!

Nick A got me smashed on bongs and we pashed. (that's not true, just teasing Josh)

I’d like Christos to come around and offer me his cock really seductively.

How Big Was It?

SMS. 9.33. Hello, how r u miss? – christian

SMS. 9.44. It’s all taking on a grim tone Miss to tell you the truth – Tom

SMS. 9.46. Why? – christian

I called Tom after that.

Who is Tom who used to live at 30 X Street, who works at the Clinic and who seems to know me and you?

christian

That would be nurse Tom I guess ... with the big... He was a friend of Robs – lovely guy if it’s the one I’m thinking of.

Tim

Yeah, that's him. He says he knows me, but I don't have the faintest clue who he is. How does he know me?

And a big... you say?

christian

Huge – ridiculously big... how did you meet him... He has been to the house before on a number of occasions and you've met him as well..

Tim

He was taking Aby's blood and when he saw the address he said he knew you and me.

christian

christian – How big the 2nd wave was.....Tsunami Phuket(Thailand) – this isn’t real is it?

Tim

Tsunamis can be that big, no doubt about it. But not in the case of the most recent ones, no. They weren't that big.

christian

Thought so

Tim

Heavens to Betsy – I forgot to ask you... we are going to the laird on Friday night – would you like to come along.? I’ll bring u a surprise!!

Tim

Yes, I reckon I will.

I might even bring my old friend from London who is staying with me at the moment.

christian

Oh – He thinks we're lovely!! Are you home this weekend – I will pick up that scratching post and come over if you are not busy? How’s pussy  >**<

Tim

I wish I could remember him...it doesn't seem right not to remember someone who thinks I'm lovely.

I should be home on Saturday until about 2ish. I have to take my London mate to the airport on Saturday for a 4pm flight.

Pussy is good. She loves feet doesn't she.

christian

Can we meet at your house and head over – I’m going with Grant (my new housemate.... Christos may come too.

Tim

Um. Can we confirm that closer to Friday. I like the idea, but I should see what my visitor wants to do first, I reckon.

I might even get Manny to come.

christian

Sounds good – will email you Friday morning – if I forget please email me...

x x Tim

She does!! Like feet.

Tim

Did you know Tom was in hospital?

christian

No – what’s up?

Tim

He's had trouble getting over the flu, but it turns out he has got some bug that he has to be treated for in hospital.

christian

Hope he's ok... please pass on my love when you talk to him next

Tim

Joel Libretti offered me a glass of white wine as soon as I got home. With determination, or was it just politeness? I was on the phone to Manny, trying to get him over, to get his pants off. But I was having no luck. I drank the wine, dutifully. White wine, what's more. Big glass.

I'd cancelled mum for Sunday. I went to a play with her Monday night and I'm taking her to Bolago Sunday.

Joel and I sat in the atrium and chatted. He'd been to the beach during the day. It was hot. He'd had quite an ordeal getting there, but as he found out, and as I confirmed to him, Melbournians are very good at directing people. Happy to. It's in their nature. Joel went to the beach with Rachel. St,Kilda Beach. They had only been there for half an hour when Rachel said she was leaving. Too hot for the kids to stay out in that heat for so long.

You don't mind, do you? said Rachel.

Not at all, said Joel. He said to me that he was damned annoyed.

He'd been having trouble with his Lloyds card. So we called London on my phone and he straightened it out. Lloyds has a blanket block on all cards being used outside of England. The nice boy in South End removed it for him. It lasts 30 days.

Joel said he was going to treat me to dinner. I asked him what he fancied and he said KFC. So, we had KFC.

Nick A and Lisa arrived with my mortgage documents and the requisite Nick A accoutrement, pot. Talk about shit-faced. Me, that is. I had to lie on the couch and hang on. Er! I just remember Lisa saying good-bye, hoping that I was all right.

Joel and I had been drinking white wine all night. Joel kept filling up my glass. The two combined and I was a gonner.

Not long after I staggered off to bed. I remember bouncing off the walls as I headed up the stairs.

Joel slept on the couch. He woke up hours later, a little dazed and confused. He asked me in the morning if he thought it was the dope, rather than the wine? I said it was. It probably was.

Oh, I was in a right state by the time I got to bed, I remember the room spinning. I messaged Rachel with the intension of telling her that Joel was pissed off with her leaving the beach early today, but I didn't in the end.

I flinch now that I think about it. But Rachel was keen, it wasn’t like it was just me with the dirty mouth, you know, like it normally is.

(Sometime later, I tried to bring up our wonton conversation about Alex, but Rachel wasn't having any of it. She had no idea what I was talking about)

We sit and chat. I like my mum, she’s cool. Then a tram comes and she says, "bye luv" and on she gets and it whisks her away.

Rachel picked Josh Libretti up at the train station. He arrived from Sydney.

I walked home.

Good Grief! Was She That Pissed?

I'm confused...what is it about the trip to Italy? I don't get it...

Rachel

Oh never mind…I guess the moment has passed.

christian

I can’t help but think that Rachel has forgotten or is back-peddling regarding our conversation the other night regarding Alexander – and the seduction of a friend’s husband when, from all accounts, they are in a sexless marriage. Was she that pissed? Or maybe, I was just that stoned. No, she was as keen and as into it as I was. Funny how perceptions change with a good sleep and the hard, cold light of day.

I drove to Northcote on the way and picked up wedding photos from a very cute couple, so Luke could put them on the website.

Luke had dope.

Strangely, I found Luke disconcertingly handsome, now that he has had his hair cut. I would have had sex with him, you know, figuratively. (I haven't had sex with Luke for I don't know how long?) Good dope. I was surprised.

I Think We'll Leave Her Claws Just Where They Are

Just thought you might like to read his letter…that's all chriso….nothin to understand really….only that your aspechial……Mark

hi luke, hi mark hi Chriso,

how are you boys? it's been quiet a long time since i last wrote you, but life is getting busier and busier, specially before chrismas. i got a new job, in the same company i worked til now, i'm doing a bit of sales, which is much more fun then before, and i also have a lot more to do, which is good for me, as i come home in the evening with the good feeling that i did something during the day. i still have to do the chrismas presents shopping, i hate that, the city is crowded with silly people, there hands filled with shopping bags, smiling and laughing and pretending that this is chrismas time... it's just like every year, same shit different christmas...

how do you celebrate christmas this year? i'd give my left eye to be there with you and all you're friends, building the plastic chrismas tree with christian, drinking some chocolate liquor and smoking a few good j.. , oh jesus, i'll never forget that christmas, mr p. telling me and christian every half an our a new christmas rule...: "christmas rule nr. 265: never put the eggs on the tree, thats becc's job on christmas day, thats tradition @ bolago...", just wonderfull... i do miss you a lot, and i can't wait to get back to bolagohouse.

I hope you'll have a wonderfull and peacefull christmas filled with love and happiness and all your friends and smoke a j for me and Sebastian P, as we would do that with you if we just could be there...

Love and hugs, and a merry merry chrismas, but i guess we'll probably be in touch even before chrismas again,

have fun, Sebastian Ciccio

p.s.: don't foreget to put mr. twinky the christmas poo on the three!!!!

You know, I don't reckon I ever scrolled down far enough to see the letter. I think I thought it was a blank email. Silly me.

christian

Hey Christian – Will you be home this weekend – thought I would come and visit you – maybe on Saturday. I was going to pop in last night coz I was in the city but heard you were busy.

Tim

I'm not sure if I'll be home this weekend or not. I have an old gay friend arriving from England, some time now, or thereabouts and I might take him up to Bolago. It's a good way to palm off a bit of the entertainment duty. But call me, I might be home, I'd like to see you.

Now, about Missy, how's this for a deal. I keep her and look after her and feed her and do all that kind of stuff. But if she needs to go to the vet at any stage, you'll have to take her and look after her in that sense, because I don't really want that responsibility. And if I go away on holidays – which is probably unlikely as I haven't been away for years – or am really pushed for someone to feed her for some reason on the weekend, again, probably would be rare, you might have to come over and feed her.

And just maybe, if in the future I decide I don't want to look after her any more, we will have to renegotiate. But, having said that, she's a very nice cat and really no problem at all. She fits in just fine, so I can't really see this happening, but you never know.

We can have a kind of joint-custody, if you like.

What do you reckon?

christian

You are a life saver!!!! It’s a deal.... Thankyou so so much – I will get one more thing for her first – a cat bell!! she needs it or she will go after birds.... Is she going outside much? And is she using the cat door?

Tim

How about getting her a scratching post too. She does like the side of the couch. Cross face!

christian

did you see Nick last night?

Tim

No, I didn't see Nick, but I spoke to him a couple of times. I was too...well, shall we say that I didn't want to drive cum 10pm and Nick had some guy over there looking at his fences, so he couldn't leave him.

We are going to catch up in the next few days, I think

christian

will do – that’s not good at all – or I could just have her claws removed.

Tim

I think we'll leave her claws just where they are. I think a scratching post would do the trick.

christian

Will do

Tim

by the way did I tell you I’m seeing a 20 year old boy who is out from Israel till august?

Tim

No, but it sounds good!

christian

It is

Tim

I guess I know what he wouldn't have.

christian

Our computers at work went down. I stayed at work until 4.30 and the computers hadn’t come up, so I left. It was a beautiful day, with a gorgeous breeze blowing up Bourke Street. I walked home.

I really think that for your own safety you need to stop smoking joints otherwise you'll wake up with Alexander beside you. Ohhhhhh yuk yuk yuk!

Rachel

I checked my messages on a gay email service right after I spoke to you and this boy (well, good grief! Hardly a boy) sent me a photo of his big cock, so I sent it to you. But iprimus tells me that the send failed, so I guess that is telling me something.

I wonder if Alexander’s…er…um… ears were burning last night?

christian

What is it…? I owe you a ticket to Italy! (Not that it’s applicable yet, you understand)

christian

SMS. 13.05. How r u miss? – christian

SMS. 14.42. Hey! I am on 7 west bed 4 phone 9276 3672, ask for me. Just arrived! Have mobile reception as well! – Tom

I just spoke to Manny. That boy so turns me on. He said he wanted to go out tonight. Maybe the laird. I told him I was waiting for Joel Libretti and also that Mark wants me to go to Bolago, collecting some photos in Northcote on the way.

It’s his voice. I love the way it turns all thick and husky when he’s turned on. I love how sex radiates out of him, even over the phone. He’s sooo sexy!

SMS. 20.24. (D and Shane) Do you know that Tom is in hospital? – christian

Shane called to say that he didn’t know that Tom was in hospital. We chatted about how sick Tom was and when we got onto him smoking dope and doing drugs we both hmmm’d! Several times. Until Shane said sounded like Selma and Patti. And laughed.

That wouldn’t be the first time that’s been said, I said.

I chatted to Tom and told him about Rachel and my pact regarding Alexander. He laughed evilly. I told him that I was going to visit him in hospital, but I got a better offer. Manny. Tom laughed and said do you think a maybe from Manny is a better offer? He knows that Manny runs on Manny time, for sure.

Manny came over. He hugged me in the kitchen for support when Aby got into him about what sort of boyfriend was he.

Manny said he never realised that Aby was so full on. He’s just shy, really. Although, not with other boys, they notice him all right. D said he looked like an Italian Stallion.

Manny and I were going to play pool at Trade, but we went back to his place instead and fooled around. I fell asleep on his couch afterwards, as I often do. He asked if I wanted to stay the night, but I came home.

Dirty Dare

Rachel I got talking about life and partners and good sex. And how it fades. We both knew what the other meant. Rachel is after all one of Mark’s greatest fans. She thinks he’s fantastic. I said I’d probably still curl up and die if Mark did, but I didn’t want to have sex with him any more. Rachel ended up saying that she’d rather sleep with my Mark and I agreed that I’d rather sleep with her Andre, than the other way around now. We both agreed they’d both be sadly disappointed, but we got each other’s point. That’s just what happens to marriage in the end.

Rachel got talking about some friends of ours, from my straight life, before Mark. Two of our friend’s got married, out of our group. Alexandria and Alexander. Childhood sweethearts. We’re all friends, for twenty years now, since we were kids. They’ve probably be married for most of that time now. Alexandria is always complaining about Alexander, says she hates him, love/hate. They haven’t had sex in years. She doesn’t care about him, as long as he keeps away from her, essentially.

But Alexander is kind of sexy, flirty, handsome. He’s quite a go-getter. I said, I’d sleep with Alexander. I’d just like to see the look on his face when I slipped my hand down his pants.

Rachel said that he always flirted with her. He had often slipped a sly tongue in, or slipped his hand up the crack in her arse when they were embracing hello, goodbye.

We both think he’s sexy. He’s always been sexual. You know the type, a live wire waiting to burst.

Rachel wants to see me slide my hand down Alex’s (I know, it’s an alex-an-der, but bear with me) pants.

She reckons sex with him would be good. I reckon sex with him would be good. We both made a pact to flirt with Alexander. He hasn’t had sex for years, according to Alexandria, who won’t sleep with him. We both thought it was a waste.

We dared each other. We laughed and said it would be worth it, but couldn’t think of a suitable prize. But we laughed and we both wanted to. I said to Rachel, well, it’s easy for me. I only have to say to him at a drunk bbq, You know Alex, I’ve always wanted to suck your cock. Rachel laughed and said she would be pretty sure Alex would be into it.

Alex is a computer consultant. He travels interstate a lot. All I’d have to say to him is that he could come to my place. As you know, no one would bat an eye-lid at my place. We both know he’d be into it.

It was such a bonding moment, mostly people take Alexandria’s side and Alex is the bad boy. He works too hard. He’s not around. His fan club is small amongst our girl friends. So it was the first time any two of our friends has acknowledge that Alex is all right, sexy even. (A dirty little secret, perhaps) There was camaraderie in that acknowledgement. But Rachel and I have always thought somewhat outside the box. Against the norm. Perhaps it’s the bad boy thing.

Or maybe it was the red wine?

We even devised a code for it. If either one of us says to the other, I owe you a ticket to Italy, we’ll know that it’s been done.

Of course, neither of us ever see Alexander much. But when we do, we’re going to flirt quite openly, just to see what occurs.

So you can see how visionary Mark is. That, certainly, would have been the last thing on my mind, if you’d asked me what Rachel and I would talk about.

And we’ll go to hell, for it. Alex and Alex are teenage sweethearts, lifelong buddies, they always will be, even if we don’t see each other that much. But, whoever stopped from doing something because of the threat of damnation?

On the Tram

I worked late, I was a day short for my dead-line. Talk about the dross, on the midnight rattler – even if I did catch the tram at 11pm.

There was a water bottle on the seat opposite me when I got on, just sitting there upright, left behind by who knows who.

Then a couple of sandwiches short go on, at the Bourke Street mall. She with a vacant look and trackie pants pulled up too high, complaining how sore she was from a fight she’d been in. She spotted the water and said, water! I could do with a drink, out loud. When she’d downed the contents she tossed the empty bottle into the unused doorway. Then yabbered on about the various members of the fight.

“You know, if I was at his joint and I saw him coming out, I’d stab him.” She laughed with a vacant expression, as she continually picked at, what I could only see as, imaginary spots on her face.

Gladiator Love

Antony had just returned from the unwinnable battle…, which he won.
“We slaughtered them, left them bloodied and dead, or humiliated in their retreat.”
Dias questioned him about his motives for what was, thought to be, a suicide mission.
“Such honour, such prestige,” Dias said. “Being hopelessly outnumbered bare no question?”
“I won, didn’t I?” boomed Antony.
“It was such a risk, as they had more than twice the men.”
“A risk clearly worth taking.”
“This time,” said Dias. “Surely luck played some part and one day the lady wouldn’t be at your side?”
“They were disorganised, with no idea how… how…” Antony smiled. “I think even you and the women could have been victorious.
Dias was also unhappy about being left at home in the village with the women. “Yes, I get to stay home with the women and children? How do you think that made me feel?”
“You would be more effective here, until you gain more experience.”
“What effect will my actions have on the village?"
"They needed someone to stay and watch over them.”
"How many people will I affect?"
“You affect them by making them feel safe and protected.”
“I want to fight them enemy, be a soldier, not feel like I am little more than just a baby sitter.
"How do I stay true in battle, when I have to keep one eye out for you?"
"It wouldn't have been like that," said Dais. “It wouldn’t.”
"Where do my responsibilities lie,” said the Centurion Antony to his young apprentice. He took his metal breast-plate off, exposing his muscular chest, laying it down on the mat.
“Your time will come, Dias.”

The younger, blond centurion, Dias, goosed Antony, right up under his pleated skirt, as he was turned away. Antony wore no underwear and was hairy and well developed. He was equipped to quiet his young apprentice, there was no doubt about it.

Dias became passive in the magnificence of the older centurion’s presence. Antony was benevolent with his obvious power and superiority.

“I’m a man now,” said Dias. “I’m eighteen. I’m ready.” He flexed his arm muscles, they were big and defined.

Antony took Dias in his arms and pushed him down onto the straw, face first. He pulled Dias’ short tunic up over his back to expose Dias’ muscular arse. He ran his fingers down through the hairy crack of his arse, taking his own hardening cock in his hand.
“I know you are ready, my boy.”
He cradled his shaft in his palm and dropped big gobs of spit down onto it.
“Please, make me a man, Antony. Please.”
Antony pushed his saliva drench penis into the young apprentice's arse crack.
Dias breathed in sharply. “Yes sir, please sir.”
Antony pushed forward, Dias Yelped and bucked. Antony pushed forward again, when Dias went to yelp and buck again, Antony pushed on the back of Dias’ head sharply, pushing his face into the straw. He pushed himself forward unmercifully.
“Ahhhhhhh,” moaned Anthony slowly, as Dias’ sweet arse let go and Antony felt himself slide into the future centurion.
Dias jumped and squirmed and bleated in pain, but Antony didn’t stop, he didn’t release the pressure or the intensity he was baring down on his young charge.
“I know what’s good for you, Dias.” Antony was up on his knees and fucking Dias’ arse hard. “Don’t you forget that!”

Together they lay in the straw, sleepy. Dias was cradled as he drifted off into his dreams, his legs laying between Antony’s thick legs, his head on Antony's chest.

Antony played with Dias nipples, poking through the hairs on Dias’ hairy chest, gently with one hand, as his other arm held Dias's shoulders.

The sun slipped behind the hills and all that could be heard was the croak of the frogs in the lake outside.

Dias lay his head down on Antony's chest. There was peace in the land.

Holding the Man

Roman bathes,

Turkish wrestlers,

Spanish soirées,

Maltese matings,

Lebanese buns,

Polish sausage.

All good boys in the end,

Giving it to good boys in the end.

Egyptian saunas,

Portuguese orgies,

Czech strippers,

All in a pen.

Hellenic heroes with drums,

Germans in shorts,

Danes cool and tanned,

None of them speaking,

As they hold the man.

Beautiful Angel

I Don't Want to Hear About Your Helenic Heritage, I Want to See it

I don't want to hear about your Hellenic heritage, I want to see it.

A swarthy stranger came and took hold of my thigh when I was looking the other way. His touch was gentle, it wasn’t aggressive or threatening, the tips of his fingers slid up my leg. If anything, it tickled in its caress. His touch was loving and caring, connecting with me, or wanting to, such was the intention of his desire. I felt calm and alluring, at the same time, giving and curious. At peace. Willing. The gesture of adventure thrilled me and warmed me. Nothing but good will come of this, I thought, as my heart quickened, beating a little faster. If he had put his hand to my chest he would have felt it. I would have slid my hand over his, taken it in my grip and held it close.

He was beautiful. I touched his face. He closed his eyes and tilted his head. His skin was soft and smooth. His stubble strong.

Talk Talk

Everybody likes to talk. Talk, talk, talk, talk, talk. The sound of their own voices. So many voices. So many voices, talking louder than the next guy, generally saying very little.

I don’t like to talk, all the time. Sometimes, I prefer silence, if I had to choose, you know, choose between.

• Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. [The Golden Rule]
• Do unto others as you would have them do unto each other. [Oh yes, those of us who like to watch]
• Do because that is who you are. [Who you know who you are, as per your still, small voice]

Goodness is the meaning of life. Goodness, not truth.

I like to listen, but sometimes I don’t know what I think until I say it. But with everyone talking, who has a chance to say what they mean? The cacophony of voices, everybody wants to be heard. It's all just noise, sometimes, with people thinking they have some thing important to say.

Give me the strong, silent type any day.

And I like to watch, but that is a different story altogether. It tends to be quiet too, though. Just show and tell. Actions rather than words. Just how I like it. Show me how you do it, don’t tell me, although, some dirty talk is always good.
